So, what is the correct phrase to ask according to you?
I told you how I have approached these same conflicts.
    If it happens once...
I go clean up after them and let them know that I am cleaning up their crap this one time(kinda like a get out of jail free card),
next time I might approach them and probably would get the same outcome you did, no matter what I said! haha

There are 3 possible roles in every conversation: Adult, Child or Parent. If you assume the role of parent(condiscending, repromanding, etc), 9/10 will react with Child (stuborn, non-compliant, rebelious, combative). If you approach with Adult(level playing field, unassuming, brother-to-brother), then you still might get child, but you're more likely to get adult back. Most of this is in your attitude and tone...not your words.

I'm sort of a fan of mind games too, though. "Hey, Boss...you need a hand racking your weights?" Most will refuse help, but then you're not asking something FROM them, you're offering something TO them. Not likely to get mad, but you could have just made a friend, or turned someone's hard day into a little better one.

You don't know this guy...he could have just found out he's loosing his job, his wife is cheating, his teen daughter is knocked up, etc., which brings us to the "Dump Trucks" of the world. People carrying around big mounds of trash in the form of anger, stress and frustration. They may not even be looking to dump it on you, but then you bump into them and it just comes pouring out! Question is, are you going to let them offload their crap on you, or just smile, waive and think..."Poor bastard...he's got it bad today."

Sorry...man, I'm channelling Dr Phill today! haha!

I hate it when people put the dumbbells in the wrong spot and somehow I always end up reordering them because so many of them are out of place.

OCD...I do the same thing! LOL
Also, the plates on each side of the bars have to be the same style. Can't put a fat 45 on one side and thin one on the other!

We don't have fat or thin weights where I workout but if we did I'm pretty sure I would match them even though they weight the same lol

We had a team meeting, basically all the people at the gym, and talked about this. I suggested the idea, but unfortunately they shot the idea down. One of the personal trainers had a good saying. "If you can stack it, you can rack it."
