I seen a guy doing standing curl drop sets, just throwing shit to the floor after each set. Everyone in the gym is looking at this guy like he's a tool. (not a big guy and REALLY shouldn't have been calling attention to himself.) So he throws down the 10s at the end of what became his last set, either cause he was done or in shame...we'll never know, cause he turns to go to the water fountain and finds himself nose to nose with this bad-ass chick. She says,"10s? Really?" and then proceeds to make him feel like a total puss! I only caught part of it through the laughter in the gym, but something about little dick and pink or purple weights. It was awesome!

Be a puss like me and use machines! Only frustration there is when people think it is lounge furniture or whatever and take 20 minute breaks...or have phone conversations!
I remember using free weights. I remember being so tired, but still making myself haul them back to the rack/storage area. It can suck a little, but seems to just make sense. This is not one of those gym courtesies that should be difficult to figure out.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I asked him to clarify, and he said he wasn't going to do it. I chewed his ass and he asked me the usual "well, who are you?". I gave my usual reply "I'm the guy that works out here and doesn't want to clean up after you".
This drove him through the fucking roof and I thought he was going to explode. I got the manager who went to ask him to rack his shit, and of course, he pulled the usual BS of getting very loud and changing the subject to the fact that I had no right to approach him. He tried to deflect all personal responsibilty and say it was my fault.
Guess what color he was?
I do not want you to take any offense to this because I like you and all, but it almost sounds like you tend to act like a bully in the gym sometimes.
I know you might have been mad and all, but think about the first words you said to the guy(you pretty much gave him an order).
It's all about how you approach someone.
I try to be as nice as I can to someone, until they disrespect me.
To me, it sounds like you were the one disrespecting him in your approach and hence you got the reaction that you did.
Next time, just go pick the weights up and stare down the guy and smile.
Maybe he will get the picture next time, if not...then would be the time to have a little chat with the young fellow.

I wasn't there and I don't know 03TrubluGT, but based on the other guys reaction, he either needs to get off the juice or man up! "Rack your own weights, don't drop free weights, don't drop the machine stack, wipe down your own sweat, no swearing, etc"...this is all standard stuff in every gym I've ever been in. If you don't do it and someone calls you on it, grow a pair and take care of your business or buy a blow flex and stay the fuuuuuuuuuuk home! I played middle school and high school sports and I can't EVER remember a time that my coaches picked up our weights, stared at us and smilled! Heard em ask a guy when his Mom was going to show up to clean up after him and then made him rack everyone elses weights as a reminder, but no rainbows or unicorns that I remember! No offense, Boss, but some guys just need a stiff punch in the face to wake up. IMHO

I definitely try my best to respect others.
Biggest thing I can't stand is when the leg press is loaded up and left there with 10 plates on each side.
I always help unload machines whenever I can and was taught to clean up after myself a long long time ago!
I do understand the feeling though, but the way that I look at it...I'm in there to WORK, therefore unloading the machine is just more WORK for my WORKout, so it's not too bad.
Plus when it's previously loaded up, I'm already halfway to putting the weight on the machine that I need!

First off I asked the guy if he was done to establish that fact. When he said he was, I asked, not told, him to rack his weight.
If holding someone accountable is being a bully, then I guess I'm guilty.

1) You wanted to use the machine after him perhaps?
2) You wanted to establish the fact that you are in control?
What kind of question is...
"Do you mind if you rack your weight?"
Should he have answered "yes" or "no", because I sure wouldn't have a clue how to answer that question, lol.

I always unload but usually I try to be considerate to the next guy. We have all that hammer strength shit and usually the ladies never use it. So I'll unload it down to a single 45 on each side to save the next guy some work. And of course, if I see one of the women trying to unload that shit I'll help them out. They usually stay over on the more traditional machines that use stack weights though.
I can't stand a mother fucker who leaves dumbbells sitting out. That shit just pisses me off.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

1. I don't need to be in control, I would like to see people clean up after themselves so others do not have to.
So, what is the correct phrase to ask according to you?
