Anyways, this thread makes me wish I still lived in Texas. Unfortunately a drive down there, especially in that time frame, isn't possible for me. You fellas need to let me know if you get up here to Colorado. Lots of great trails to explore.

We're thinking of taking a trip down to that area this spring/summer. We're looking at doing Black Bear and/or Black Canyon and other trails in the area. I'll let you know when we lock something down..


I'm up in Erie and do trails mostly around Boulder. Sometimes I get out towards Breckenridge as well.

I’m about 25-30 miles from Ouray as the crow flies. Right now, it would take me probably 4 hours or so to get there by highway, and in the summer, It takes about 2.5 hours off-road with a good 4x4 vehicle.

I’ll be doing Black Bear this summer as well. Hit me up!

Strap and shackles. I have plenty of recovery gear if someone gets stuck.
