Haha, yeah, figured you would.. 4.88's or not, I would hate to try to pack a weeks worth of long distance travel stuff in a little Jeep. Was mainly saying that to point out that most of his buddies do.. It's a forum group I believe, you probably belong to it already.

We rented one in Vegas once and took it to the desert back when we got married... I was quite impressed with it, even being with it being a stripped down base model with little street tires.

I would love to have one but even a 4 door would be pushing it on size for us.. Hell, when we went to Colorado this year we had the Burban AND trailer and were still packed to the hilt.. Of course that included two teenage boys and 2 Labs. And we did live pretty comfortably, even with sleeping out of tents.

LSJC changed their usual spring Moab trip to September this year. I couldn't do Sept so now I'm on my own!

There's a reason just about every trail jeep shows up with a trailer behind it. My mother in law has a 4 door JK. It's nice, but it's small for an SUV in comparison. But much more capable.

Moab was one of the coolest places I have ever been! Drive up through the Lasalle mountains also if you guys go. As a geologist i love that area! I would love to go but no 4x4 for me as of right now!

From what I've been told your focus is on the scenery more than the trails, they seem pretty tame.

<------ do want to go sometime!!

Just got into crawling with a 95 Grand Cherokee lifted 5 inches on 33s. Did Superlift Offroad in Hot Springs last weekend. Mucho fun and my boy loves it.

You should give Bridgeport, TX a shot. Pretty good off road park. I've heard Hot Springs is awesome. I want to give it a try one day.

Bridgeport is fun, I like it because it's close, and it's an open style park. However, it doesn't have that many challenging trails (****+)

I've lived in Utah for 6 years and I've never been there. Maybe I should go before leaving this shitty state.

Where are you coming from? When you say "leaving this shitty state" I presume you mean coming to Texas, since Texas is not shitty.

Still looking for someone to join me, I'm going solo at the moment. I plan to be there mid April.

I wish I could because I would like to go at some point, but taking the time off during the school year is pretty much out of the question outside of school holidays.
