  • Wheelin in the area?

Were looking to move back to DFW within the next year. Since last time i lived there ive gotten into jeeps/offroading.

Any spots to wheel in the dfw area? well be moving to southern dfw (midlothian)

rig wise just got your average lifted XJ, nothing super special.

Unless you know someone with land wheeling just whereever is gonna be hard to find. Most of the places in Texas that allow off roading are privatly owned off road parks as far as I know.

The closest is Bridgeport offroad park (northwest). The next closest is Barnwell Mountain (way east)

Bridgeport is fun and right on the lake, great place to camp and have a good weekend. Barnwell is more hardcore and offers much more difficult trails. The entry fees are negligible, all you'll need to get in is a OHV sticker and about $20 if my memory serves me correct.

      Bridgeport:

Can't find my barnwell pics at the moment.

Gilmer (barnswell), Bridgeport, Tolar and Marble Falls are around the area.

any local offroad park will usually have them, also mikes offroad and other offroad places like dealers will usually carry them.

Last time I was out Bridgeport they were out....a month ago.

This past weekend at Barnwell (Gilmer) they had some.

I got mine online and it takes about 5 days to get in.

Good to have so you don't get a ticket!

The only two places I can think of in the whole state to take OHVs that's isn't privately ran is big bend state park and Sam Houston National Forest. Unless there are more non private areas I find it comical that Texas even has a damn sticker I have to pay for.
