My next project is going to be raising my front clip/fenders/hood to accomdate my larger tires, so I can keep the center of gravity as low as possible... don't need this damn thing rolling over again. I'm taking the hardest and most labor intensive approach, but after much thought, tube fenders just don't appeal to me.
There is a company out there that sells a kit for $2,000... and if any of you know me, you'll know theres no damn way I would ever consider it. I am literally the cheapest ass person in existence. However, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, so I'm going to do it myself.
Here is what it should look like when I'm done:
Stock jeep is on the left. Kind of gives it an odd H1 look. Once I get that done, I should be able to safely clear 37's with a 3" lift."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View Postyeah pay attention to the hood height between the two, it's pretty obvious when you look at the hood. It gives you another true 3" of wheel travel and shouldn't cost me more than a pair of stock fenders (mine are completely destroyed) or around $100 bucks. Vs. $50 in tubing and time welding for some tube fenders which are going to let mud and rocks fly at my face when the windshield is down. I think the highline approach looks a lot classier also. Luckily the fenders mate to the tube on a completely straight vertical seam, so I can shift them up pretty easy.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Those are 37's on only a 3" lift, that's nuts... and it gets full articulation."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
