Either way, I got em on the cheap. Came with procomp 15x10 alloys and the whole set of 5 was less than what the wheels are new so cant complain.

Headed to FL soon anyway, not much wheeling to be done so I'll just drive these bald and hopefully be able to wheel at my next base and pick up some Goodyear MTRs
Haha they are for any terrain theoretically. They'd be the last thing I'd throw on a jeep for mud or rocks. They work best on the mall jeeps.

I've heard nothing but good things about the BFG KM2's from everyone.

KM2s are MTs not ATs. ATs are fully BFG AT T/A KO, the ones you are referring to are BFG MT KM2. The MTs are far superior to the AT in every aspect EXCEPT road noise and handling in ice/snow.

Yeah I was simply saying I hadn't heard anything about the MT's in regards to BFG's performance. I'm not interested in AT's for a fun only jeep, if I daily drove it, I would be interested. I looked over all of you parts - I really don't think I could use any of it except the trailer hit, and even then it's a smaller receiver than what I'm looking for, so I don't think I'm in on anything unfortunately.

I've been running mine for quite a while. I like them. They do sound like a mud tire though...

They can't be half as load as my creepy crawlers.

                  • I think KM2's are reasonably quiet for a MT.

QFT, they are pretty quiet. One of the most bearable mud tires out there from what I've heard.

                      • My next project is going to be raising my front clip/fenders/hood to accomdate my larger tires, so I can keep the center of gravity as low as possible... don't need this damn thing rolling over again. I'm taking the hardest and most labor intensive approach, but after much thought, tube fenders just don't appeal to me.

There is a company out there that sells a kit for $2,000... and if any of you know me, you'll know theres no damn way I would ever consider it. I am literally the cheapest ass person in existence. However, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, so I'm going to do it myself.

Here is what it should look like when I'm done:

Stock jeep is on the left. Kind of gives it an odd H1 look. Once I get that done, I should be able to safely clear 37's with a 3" lift.

yeah pay attention to the hood height between the two, it's pretty obvious when you look at the hood. It gives you another true 3" of wheel travel and shouldn't cost me more than a pair of stock fenders (mine are completely destroyed) or around $100 bucks. Vs. $50 in tubing and time welding for some tube fenders which are going to let mud and rocks fly at my face when the windshield is down. I think the highline approach looks a lot classier also. Luckily the fenders mate to the tube on a completely straight vertical seam, so I can shift them up pretty easy.

Shit I didn't even notice the around the hood. I've never seen a mod like that.

Yeah the kit cost $2,000, not exactly very common, but the actual work involved shouldn't even require me to bust out the welder.

Those are 37's on only a 3" lift, that's nuts... and it gets full articulation.
