It's a class III hitch receiver welded to the bottom of the rack. Did body work on hood/fenders and completed the high-line mod. Fenders are now 3" higher than factory. I have to relocate everything in the engine bay, it was kind of a hassle, but it was worth it. moving the fenders 3" higher caused them to bow upwards, which I had to cut the supports and reweld them to keep them level to the ground. This caused the fenders to fold as you can see in the above pics. I worked the metal out and got it smooth where they meet the grill, so there isn't an ugly crease there anymore. Got the big dents out of the hood (it was pretty fucked up), but left a few in there - it is an off-road vehicle.

Looks damn good, I'm a big fan of modifications that create more functionality and are so subtle that at a quick glance you know something is different but really have to think about it to figure out what it is. I would be willing to bet most nonjeep people wouldn't know it is not factory until you point it out.Comment

I personally like the way Jeep TJ's look, so I didn't want to ruin it with some ugly tube fenders. Today in the parking lot another guy who has a lifted TJ came up to me and asked why I lifted it another 3". I told him I didn't, his mind was blown. Gotta keep that low center of gravity if you actually plan on wheeling it. CJ, I've enjoyed following and being able to lend a hand with this build. You're right, the highline setup is how they should have come stock from the factory. It looks 100 times better.
