The IR compressors are made here in the states. I am not saying that the parts are not made somewhere else but the assembly plant for them is here. Also the pump on these is cast iron not aluminum. These are definitely at least a step above the box store compressors. They offer a pretty good warranty on them as well and will extend the warranty if you run their oil and filter on the unit. I did my homework when I bought mine and sure there is better but for the money its about as good as you are going to get if you want a brand new compressor.

      Nice purchases!!
Had my 80 gal IR since 2002... Still works like the day I purchased it. Looks to have the same pump as yours and it has been used ALOT!!!!
working on another car right now and it gets run everyday almost.

My dad would go through them like water (not IR's) but many others. He finally bought a Sailor Beal (sp?) and it was badass!!! Step mom wouldnt let me have it when he passed last yr but I did get the welder and his box.

and bought these on ebay, Got them pretty cheap. Usually they run over $800 bones!
So we will see if I did get them for a good price when they come in. Last thing is
I need one to be bent or something, Then that one is worthless.

To measure the center "line" of vehicles when the frame / body gets bent from an accident. Use it when a vehicle is on the frame machine.

i have the same compressor, i bought at TSC and had them price match northern that didnt have it, the poor old woman at the counter was like "what was the price to match it to?"
i say $650 and she says "ok sunny" and BAM got it for 650 plus tax,
that was 3 years ago still works awesome, my only complaint is there is no adjustment to my knowledge to make it come on at a ceratin PSi mine waits until like 40psi to come back on

if you have the same IR compressor as above then inside that black box SHOULD be a spring with a bolt through it. that is the minimum pressure valve. play with the tension on the spring until the pressure comes on when you want it to.
