  • ZL1 Camaro

Motorweek went 11.1 @ 129mph on street tires. And the car is $111k.

After 42 Years The Legend is Back……and only from SLP!

The year was 1969, and the muscle car wars were in full swing. Each one of the big three
had developed their own version of the ultimate high-performance big-block engine.
Then Chevrolet unleashed the ZL1®, the most powerful 427- cubic inch engine ever released
by General Motors. Based on an exotic aluminum block, the ZL1® offered only the best
components from the L88 engine including a high-compression piston, high-flow aluminum
heads and intake, and a bulletproof bottom end. In all, only 69 Camaros and 2 Corvettes were
ever produced with the ZL1® making it one of the rarest and most desirable big-blocks ever made.
Now, in the tradition of that legendary ZL1® Camaro of yesteryear, SLP presents the 2011 ZL® Camaro.
Only 69 will be built for 2011; all with a 750HP Supercharged 427ci powerplant; and they’ll go fast! Literally.

If I'm paying that much I would go with the zr1 Vette instead.
Don't get me wrong, that thing is plenty bad ass though

I'm confused, so is this a special edition from SLP or what? I thought the ZL1 was supposed to be 550hp? Also, I thought it used the same LS9 in the CTS-V, not a blown 427?

Somewhat of an inside joke. Slowhand is always saying what a piece of shit a c5 vette is while owning a 2v gt, and also saying he wants a c4 vette.

One an unrelated side note, my old man bought a 2004 z06 with like 20k miles on it. Told him he could store it out here so he has a car to drive when he visits . Didn't go for it though :/

The front looks better but the rear looks like shit. The design of the front doesn't flow with the design of the rear.
