  • Anyone know the story behind this?

How is this even legal? HOA thing maybe?

Ok, here's the backstory. One 86 year old jerkoff complained using some legal loophole. What a jerk.

That woman needs to be punched in the face. I don't even like basketball but that got my blood pressure up. That is some bullshit. He should have taken that cane and smacked her in the face with it.

It has to be 7 feet away from the street to protect those playing sports!

I'd put it back up right where it was. As long as you're not on the old man's drive home nothing would ever come of it.

will all the problems facing kids today (drugs, teenage pregnancy, failing schools) I'm glad to see Delaware tackling the tough problem of too many kids playing basketball.

I wonder what was in place first? The basketball goal(s) or the ridiculous state law? Oh, wait, "A 2005 state law...", I guess they decided not to grandfather anything. I wonder how many old-growth trees were cut down under that law.

                              First this:

Surely there's an attorney out there just foaming out the mouth to get this case.
I'd be willing to bet that area has no community center or other suitable, nearby facility that is as safe for the local kids to play basketball.
