America's flagship once again faces an uncertain future. We created this new extended trailer for Lady in Waiting as part of an ongoing push to get the film...

VERY cool! Thank you for posting this. It's so sad that our Nation's namesake ship, our flagship, has been allowed to get into this shape. I may be a bit biased, but to me, there are few things more sad than seeing a once proud and majestic ship left to rot.

Another very important part of our National history that desperately needs to be saved is the USS Olympia. The famous quote (famous to sailors, at least), "You may fire when you are ready, Gridley", was spoken on her bridge at the Battle of Manilla Bay during the Spanish American War.
More can be read about her here:
The USS Olympia is one of the oldest steel ships in the world. ?Built during a period where ships built with vertical-stroke reciprocating three-cylinder triple-expansion engines were rare, the Olympia was one of her kind constructed with the front-line alloy steel. ?She was Commodore Dewey’s flagship at the Battle of Manila and the only surviving example of Teddy Roosevelt’s Great White Fleet from the 1900s. ?She served until World War II, and is now the oldest steel

"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
