  • 2012 Nissan GT-R

Say what you want about the car, but I am a fanatic and have been since moving to Japan in 1996. I had a 1989 Gts-t, a 1990 Gt-t, and borrowed a friends 1995 GT-R plenty of times for some midnight runs North through Naha and down to the docks. While I absolutely love the new ones I would love to get a '69 (first year of GT-R) or a '89-'93. The numbers of the 2012 are very impressive and they speak for themselves. There is also a 1.5 page article in the new Road & Track. Enjoy...or hate...

I respect what it is and all but I just don't care for them, and their styling is nothing to write home about.

I would still own one though and still think they're neat.

This isn't a tit for tat, but I feel the same about the Corvettes...always have. I think they are cool and all but would never buy one...regardless of how much money I had. It took me awhile to get used to the new styling but I have and love it. Not as much as the R32/R33 bodystyle but I am digging it.

Not too big on the new ones, but the R-33 Spec V is one of my favorite cars of all time.

I saw my first one on the street today. Jesus that's a big car. Definitely stood out though. Also saw a black viper decked out in all the ACR shit. Not sure if it was an actual ACR, but it had a big number on the side of it.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I was always partial to the R34 V-Spec in blue.

Big DITTO on that. However, I'd have to have it converted to left hand drive. I was never able to get used to a right hand drive car. Go to shift, smack the door panel, bump rev limiter, rinse, repeat.

I just recently read the comparo of it and the ZO6 and a couple of others. It is a bad-ass, no doubt. What I find ironic is that every thing I love about Jap cars, does not apply to it...like longevity, low maintenance cost, reliability, and gas mileage. Just a thought...
