Those looked like stock Z06 rims to me. It looks like the left wheel just broke and sent the car flipping.

I saw this last week on Stangnet from friends that went and its simply amazing he was ok after seeing the wreckage.

That car was on a pass, he set the record for a single turbo car and was trying to raise the bar even higher. He just spun out....and the proof of why having the proper safety equipment is why he can talk about it!

It's amazing that it flipped at that speed, and ended up wheels down after only one turn. That could have been MUCH worse, and very deadly.

Why in the world doesn't he have a cage in that thing? I bet he does now...

The current issue is tires. My friends that went were talking about how Hoosier (sp?) and MT were telling the fast cars that they dont reccomend the tires for that speed duration. MT was heard saying to replace the tires every 3-4 runs or the tire would seperate.
While there are a couple tires that can handle the speed, they cant hook like the DRs can so the cars cant hook up for them record runs.


I am amazed that ting makes 1700+ hp on only 22psi. I am gonna boost about that much on my next build but will be a good 1000hp less. LOL!
