Looks like they were firing blanks and/or missed him every time on purpose.

.. but you are jumping to your own conclusion...
Kid is standing up against a wall. Cops bully him by pointing a gun at his head while he is in no way posing a threat. Instead of cops attempting to take him down they shoot him with what may be rubber bullets.
                WTF is wrong with you?

Funny what comes up when you just google the title of the video:
                  March 24, 2011 5:57 PM
(CBS/Reuters) A Brazilian court ordered the arrest of police officers who were filmed torturing and shooting a 14-year-old boy in August of last year.

The security camera video - released for the first time this week - showed four police officers firing a gun at the boy during a raid in a poor district of the Amazon city of Manaus.

The boy, who was shot five times in More..the chest area, was hospitalized and has recovered fully.

Three other policemen who do not appear in the footage were also arrested while the investigation is being carried out.

They claim to have fired against the boy in self-defense after they found a gun near him.

The seven officers will remain in prison until the end of the investigation. The boy and his family were included in a program that protects crime victims and witnesses.

Wow, our cops stay at home during the "investigations" right? Theirs stay in prison. Interesting.

Either way, w/o sound and the crappy video none of us can really come to any conclusions. The article does not say what he was shot with either. I doubt after 5 bullets he'd be walking around...now nonlethal...

However, when common sense kicks in I think it is clearly obvious that the police are jack asses in the scenario. I fully support cops using what some people call excessive force to quickly subdue some kid, girl...etc - but to pick on someone is not professional.

I will fully agree with everything you say.

If you want to get technical, everyone here has a right to bond. Even if police officers were jailed, they would be out awaiting trial, just like everyone else.

You're right. I can tell from the way the cops kept accidently pointing their guns at him that they didn't mean to do it.

I'm not. I was just a little taken aback you'd actually try to spin this when the video is good enough to show the kid in no way deserved to be shot with whatever projectile it was the cops were using. Is it just a knee jerk reflex for you?
