I can honestly say, after owning trucks since 1993, that I have never hauled rocks in the bed.

We just use one of those rubber mats in Lyn's truck, helps things not slide around. It's a truck bed, who cares what it looks like!

I don't have a cover on mine either. I take it thru car washes like always. Bedrug and all.

If I have to haul something in the bed often times it will not be delicate anyhow. I'm not putting a tonneau cover on mine either though.

I chose not to get a srpay in because the spray ins I've seen makes it like coarse sand paper in the bed. You have to lay a blanket down if you're gonna haul bicycles or furniture or a tv out of a box.
Do consider what you haul the most. Rocks, gravel and sand? Furniture, mulch, garden soil?

I think the bed covers look nice, but I would never install them. Just get an SUV at that point. Everything I've heard, bed rugs are nice.
