That seems abit extreme to even consider shooting someone over a simple dispute or getting punched. If you're being robbed or carjacked, yeah I could see that. But if a person is looking to shoot someone over something stupid like that, then perhaps they shouldn't be carrying a gun in the first place. Just my opinion.

If I was that guy and carrying, I probably would have just moved my car and/or otherwise avoided him at almost all costs. CHL does not give you the right to stir up shit so you can shoot someone. You don't want to get into a fight, even if you know you can win as (In my opinion) it could compromise your weapon.

I would not LIKE having to bitch out, but when carrying you have to be the sensible one and avoid the problem in the first place.

Edit: Or at least that's what should be done and you need to try and be that level headed. We all know how those things go, but ya have to do it.

Ummm, the dude outside the car was being a dick standing in a good spot so someone he knows could park there. Was it a dick move to pop the clutch? Yes. Was it a complete bitch move to punch the guy through the window? Yes. People like this are the main reason I refuse to attend these events, and reason #5,679,351 why I would be packing at an event like that. Some asshats always have to try to prove who's the biggest badass.

A gun is to protect yourself as you fear for your life not of an ass kicking. If you need to bring a gun to a Hooters parking lot to fight then you should probably stay home to play with your dolls.

1) Old man refuses to yield right of way : misdemeanor

2) Young guy pops clutch and almost hits old man : Attempted vehicular assault/attempted aggravated assault : felony

3) Old man (attempts?) assaults young guy : not necessarily a felony if argued it was in self defense.

4) A bunch of jaw jacking and testosterone inflated BS.


In a court of law, it is never good to commit the 1st felony.

But if you shoot someone after you committed a felony in response to their misdemeanor, you just made a drastic, critical error.
