Our blip has nothing to do with life elsewhere. It's completely self-righteous to think otherwise. "Well, we haven't been here very long in relation to the universe and because of that it's highly unlikely that anything else has."

Why would that make you loose trust? Saying that a saw blade (ie, dremel blade) had a hard time cutting through makes for a great mental illustration of how hard it is.

I see where your going but as big as the universe is, to think that there arent multiple civilizations living in it at any one given time is pretty bold.

Possibly, but I'm willing to bet on the ratio of time vs space being tilted in favor of time being the more expansive. Especially in reference to our limited reach into space when searching.

I believe time exists whether or not there is a reference or something to measure it. Regardless, the ratios that I was talking about are the amount of time any life form exists vs time itself, and the space any life form takes up vs the amount of space available.

Except he's using a "head 'em off at the pass" technique for this presentation, and trying to imply that the skull, while thin, is somehow more than adequately durable, even though he doesn't have an answer for what the fibers are. He could test them, and I'd bet green money they're from the sack that skull was carried out in.

It's almost a forgone conclusion that whatever conditions that skull was pulled out of were less than ideal, and way less than rigorous. It's also important to ask who the audience is he's talking to in the video. They look like rich people he's trying to get to grant him some sham research money.
