What's the story behind this?

Hennessy was infamous for his "ponzi" scheme for his vipers.

Guys would drop off their vipers, they would pay 100 grand to him (or whatever) . Hennessy would then sell off everything on the car that was going to be "upgraded" later on, and use all that money and some of the parts to finish someone elses car, someone who had been waiting far longer. There were guys who dropped off their cars for years without any progress.


Unfortunately for ol John Hennessy, quite a few viper owners just happen to be lawyers....
