Shouldn't the ball be in front of the kid batting? Was the pitcher 7 or something?

That was the second ball thrown behind him. The pitcher hit a kid in the face earlier in the game. The kid ended up getting 7 stitches on the inside of his cheek.

How fast does that pitch throw? Is this in the Arlington league?

I'm guessing 9th graders throw about 60 mph.

Wow a 9th grader that can't pitch any better than that needs to be in the out field or riding the pine in the dug out. My 10 year old son plays little league and those kids put 85% of their pitches right down the pipe.
