I took some quality photos of the malibu today.
It looks slow, because it is slow.
    What are your opinions?
The originals are huge, I may have undersized the with the photobucket.

The shot of your hand on the shifter is badass. Cool, different car.

Thanks man. I was a little reluctant to post that one, but it turned out real nice.

Amazing what a skilled photographer and a quality camera can do for a shitty paint job.

I've always liked those cars too....to me they were always for Chevy what Farmonts were for Ford.

Is it a factory 4-spd? There was a guy out at Denton one night last summer running a black one with a factory 4-spd in it...he said it came from Mexico (was a Mexican dude actually).

Anyways....cool car. I dig the big & littles with caps.

My uncle used to have a crappy gold '78 Malibu coupe, same bodystyle as your car. He bought it from an art teacher that had swapped in a 454/TH400 with L-88 427 heads and an 850 Holley. It still had skinny little 14" tires all around. It was the meanest, scariest, most overpowered car I've ever been in. It was a real sleeper too - factory brown vinyl bench seat and column shift. It didn't even have a tach, lol.

Those are some great pics dude!

Yea? I've only had it at K-dale three times. Twice in 2007. Other than fresh black interior, it hasnt changed much.

Rreemo. I agree completly. I always see the box fairmonts as the malibus evil (frameless) twin.

Mine is not a factory 4 speed. If you look closely, you can see me running the automatic column still. Having a 4 speed was so important to me, I located the conversion parts (very very difficult to find) before I ever looked for a car. The big and little are subtle, but thats the point.

Yeah, it's been at least that long ago.
