  • I going to play with a Cougar for a little while.

I sold the 442 I had last week and needed something to tinker with. I picked this up. I have never owned an early Ford pony car but have always liked them. This one has been sitting in a garage for about 7 years. I probably paid too much for it since I don't know the Ford market like I do GM but I rolled the dice anyway.

Is that an Eliminator? I can't see much detail on this phone, other than Eliminator stripe? Whats the combo?

I'm pretty certain that's not an Eleminator but is a damned nice find.

          And yes... combo?

I sold the the convertible last year in process of scaping up $$ for the new shop. Its living life in SoCal now with its new owner. I had a 66 442 project I sold last week before I ran across this.

I don't know much about option combo and packages but its a 351W 2barrel. The pic makes it look nicer than it is but other than the roof its a real solid car.

Eh, vinyl needs to go anyway.

Only Mopar muscle cars are allowed to have vinyl roofs.

Although this is a car I could be happy with building as a major project I just can't afford anything that I am not working on to turn over pretty quick. My new building is making a black hole in my savings account and I have twins on the way. I am going to just work on stuff for other people and flip cars for a while until I can build up a reserve.

i can dig it. i got some things on my plate right now that are squeezing the shit out of my pockets and i've thought about selling the olds a few times in the past couple years, but i just can't do it. im just gonna stick it out and keep on keepin' on.

best of luck with everything, man.

Nice. I dig it. The first thing you need to do is unhook the springs on the headlight doors so they stay down. The car should still make enough vacuum to open the doors when you turn the lights on, and the springs were just a safety feature in case the vacuum motor failed. If not a new vacuum motor may be in order. Mine will still pull them open even with a 680 lift solid roller.
