I really dont get the whole track key deal. Why not just allow the car to perform at its best without having to insert another key? The artificial cam lope is rediculous.

How is it artificial? It uses variable cam timing to adjust how the car performers.

Maybe some folks want the car to be streetable in everyday driving with a less peaky torque curve and the ability to run lower octane and get better gas mileage. Do some reading on it.

If you have the money to buy one, you should have the money to drive around with the so called race key in. It might save you 50 cents a day in gas.

That article mentions nothing regarding octane requirements. I really doubt anything about the track tune is extreme enough to cause you problems around town.

It is cool they programmed a launch control feature into the track tune.
