If you don't want to buy paint and all that there is a guy in up there that does RC painting. It is Looped Designs. Google.... ldpaint.webs .... Depending on what you want and how many colors, you could probably have him paint one less than the cost of buying all the paint, materials and your time.
no doubt!! look on the mikes site at some of "looped's" work! its amazing!
god bless.

Goodluck man. I need to bring mine up there one day and have some fun. i dont think they have monster truck classes so I will just stay away from the races and just have some fun. Hopefully next week I can go see this place. I have it running damn near perfect now so i shouldnnt have any problems.
i sold off most of my stuff a couple of years ago.. but i have some starterboxes , chargers and a couple of cars/ trucks around if anybody is interested..
I love these cars....the gas ones that is imo! I would go every now and then to an indoor track over in garland with my husband. It's pretty neat. Im really shocked on how people get pissed if you run into there car! It gets to the point where they even have to make an announcement over it.
Yeah which is why I want to go to one of the tracks while hardly anyone is there. My truck is big and heavy and will demolish anything it hits. I've killed two others already on accident lol. The first one was my borther in laws rc. He thought he would be funny and stop in fornt of my rc so I just ran him over and he tried to take off while i was on top of his and it stripped out his tranny gear.
The other one was Jared's little monster energy limited edition camaro. we were racing and as I passed his he swerved and caught my back tire and his went air born lol. it was pretty awesome. His is fixed now I'm sure but the body is scared up pretty bad.
man i ran my 4x slash in the rookie class last thursday at mikes. what a blast ! i will be there this thursday as well. i assume coming in dead last again!
god bless.

I will be watching online. Next week, I hope to stop in and visit while we are visiting the area. May bring my new 1/8th electric buggy and make some laps on the outdoor track. Don't worry Elvis, in a few weeks I will be there to take last place away from you! lol
What does it cost to get into this? I think it'd be cool to get one that looks like a trophy truck. I've also seen one that was a jeep that looked like a rock crawler, that looked pretty cool too.
This looks fucking sweet.

Depends on the set-up you go with. You can get started anywhere from $350-$1500. It is a hobby, not a cheap hobby. I think the best statement I have ever seen about it is...."it is a hobby for people who like to spend money". Also, if you think starting with good stuff is expensive, buy the cheap stuff and you will see it gets just as expensive that way.
It starts out like most others. Thinking, I will get in cheap and just have fun. Then it turns into extra parts, tires, better motor, better ESC, better radio, etc. Then it something new comes out and you start over or you start a different class.
