manga art car models

So I've seen a few guys do this kind of art on real cars and I've become kinda obsessed with it. But before I bust out the spray paint and ruin one of my shit boxes in the driveway, I decided to do it in small scale. I'm thinking I may do this style on the tbird (not the gulf oil, but the red and white nascar theme). I'm doing a t-bird model now to see if I actually like it. They are really fun to paint, but I'm not sure how long I'd like it in real life.

I'm sure budget comes into play, but what about a vinyl wrap? Keep it for however long you like it, peel it off when you're over it.

spray paint would cost thousands less and we are talking about a $500 car. lol
