I used the rustoleum in the link below, thinned with mineral spirits, and a small white foam roller

That's badass! Our family had a 2 wheel drive Suburban that I learned to drive in. I always liked driving that thing.

I've got a white truck that I've considered painting this way.

I've been thinking of trying this for years. I've about decided to pass down my 95 GMC 1500 to my 13yo son. We have plenty of time to work on it. I've often wondered if anyone has been able to do a metal flake using this method. If thinned enough, its supposed to "flow" which is how it levels out smooth.

rustolium has a metallic silver. I used it on my van, and it worked fine.
