it's not, intake runners on the L98 are different. Only motor i know of with the optispark is an LT1.

Also the L99, 4.3 version of the same engine.

This is an LT1 engine and likely from a 93-94 F-body. It was used from 92-97 and had a few revisions over the years. Big cars got the cast iron head version and slightly lower compression, Corvettes got 4 bolt mains and were used from 92-96. The major differences are going to be with the opti-spark, early ones weren't vented and had a different drive system. This one looks like it's not vented so it's early.

LT1 for sure. The water pump drive spline is a dead giveaway. Iron heads and it's a B-body, aluminum and it's F/Y body.

Look at the Optispark distributor for a vent hose. If it has one it's a 95 up which is better. 93-94 were sealed and are FAR more prone to failure. When I swapped my cam in my 94 I updated to the vented style from the 95 up (had to change quite a few parts to do it but worth the reliability improvement).
