These crawlers have taken off lately and seem to only be gaining momentum. I'm not sure if it's because they look so awesome or if the lower speed stiff is just more fun to operate for most people. Maybe it's a combination. I'll admit that I dont drive my high speed cars much because of how much room you really need to go 70+.
Either way, I'm trying to decide between a crawler or bigger scale speed demon next to convert to a camera car.

I bought a Rock Rey just to screw around with last year, it was a lot of fun but would turn over to easy for my tastes. Ended up giving it to my friends kid and I think my friend plays with it as much as his kid. We had tons of them when we were younger. My suggestion if you are going rock crawler is to go to hobby town and buy the stuff individually that they recommend and build it up from a kit. While spectacular for a RTR, a little more money would have made the low speeds way smoother.
Then I bought a ARRMA Outcast 6s. That thing is absolutely stupid fast on 6s. Flips over backwards at almost any speed and is just crazy and indestructible so far. It is honestly really fast and way more fun to drive with one 3s in it. I drove it maybe 6 times and it just sits now. Kind of a waste but I had my fun with it and it was cool to see the new tech out there. Going to sell it and get a better inside chopper. As much as I like drones, I like the realistic looks of the helicopters. I gave my last one to a kid at Christmas. Those things are fun and indestructible also. They have come a long way with everything.

I have one of the brushless Slash's I bought to "walk the dogs" with but they're scared of it. Haven't charged the battery in over a year now. That and a few RC10 GTs and a disassembled RC18T. I even have a Revo somewhere I started a motor swap on and never finished.
Cheaper than real cars I guess and I can store more of them on jackstands!

I got a Micro RS4 sitting in the garage, runs great, drifts well, and you can have fun in your garage, if anyone wants it for their kid. They have a cult following but I don't feel like screwing with Facebook idiots. I have a bunch of random wheels and chassis for it also.Whos your Daddy?
