  • The youtube purge

Youtube is on it's way out. Tomorrow they push their new terms of use that is most likely going to silence most if not all conservative voices on the platform. Huge bummer, youtube is a huge part of my daily life. It's where I gained my following, and where I go when I need to learn to do something quick. It's also where I upload my daughters games so the team and their families can watch them.
I signed up for bitchute, but is there any other platforms I should jump onto that any of you know of?

I'd rather them do it now and pull the band-aid off so that people will move away than to wait another 6 months.

You tube has sucked since Google bough them. In their infancy it was great. All of the music companies went after them for copyright infringement and then Google bought them and they then sucked. Metacafe was the original Youtube.

Unfortunately in this day in age, small independent companies cant afford to operate with no revenue coming in and eventually get swallowed by the likes of these super conglomerates.

What's changed that will 'silence' conservative voices? Are you talking about quitting youtube out of principle, or are you suggesting it will impact your videos?

I'm guessing this won't really affect me since I don't watch or upload anything political in nature.

I've noticed that too. What annoys me most is they play the same fucking ones over and over and over and over and over......

They are going to delete videos with "hateful" or "offensive" speech. If they find your videos offensive your channel will be deleted. The lady in charge is an out and out liberal feminist, and left wing nut job. She's flat out said that if she could she'd take down all the right wing tubers. This is them working on it.

So what I’m hearing is that the sky is falling.

I think I’ll keep watching YouTube and keep avoiding politics and be fine.

This is nothing more than a move to win the 2020 election, go back and look at how Google and Youtube got all pissy after the 2016 election and you'll understand this is just another move for them to promote their way of thinking and remove any dissenting opinions.

for a short time it was part of my income (before the last time they changed the rules), also I'm made friends, and business partners thanks to my youtube channel. We used my youtube as free advertising for my RC kits, and sold thousands of dollars worth of toy airplanes to people around the world. I also developed a (as strange as it is to say) fan base on YT, so that when I went to RC events people where there waiting to meet me and hang out with me. One event the organizer met me at the gate and escorted me to my spot on the fight line. It started my relationship with big names in the hobby, and led to some pretty exciting times. I'd say ya, YT has become a pretty big part of my life. not as much right now, because family and work prevents me from creating content like I used to, and that whole thing where my co host turned out to be a pedophile wanted by the feds... So the last prety much two years of videos had to be pulled down. but if I can survive the new regs, and find some free time, I'm going to try and bring my channel back. Or maybe find another outlet. we shall see.
