Pinstriped Flame Job on my 66 Mustang

Finally, after 14 years of rolling around with this flame job in place, My 12 year old daughter Jade and I jumped into the deep end, prepping, taping and striping this thing. I thought for years I would do the outline in red or maybe black just to fix some edges, but after living with it for so long, I think we found the perfect color. 1-shot Blue Green. But of course, we're calling it Jade green.

I'm so proud of her patience and talent. This is the kind of bonding you wish for. She's revised her Christmas wish list to include a Mack 00 brush and some other colors to practice with.

Special thanks to Verne, hot rod painter guru for the supplies, instruction and courage. Danny, Fitzwell too for leaning on me to do something awesome with this.

It's got smudges and stuff on it from our work, but I buffed it before we started. I'll get some good outdoor pics ASAP.

Thanks gents! Yeah, this has been a true joy. I saved some of our palettes from an old Hot Rod magazine. I think I'm going to frame them and the brush and give them to Jade.

That's kick ass, Blake. My girls and son have assisted me with my Cobra and other Stangs, helped me turn wrenches, change tires and been my tool getters as I'm under it, washed them, etc. They have also been there to pick their own Fords at the Dealerships and sign their own paperwork at finance.
She will remember these days the rest of her life...
