so if you a buy a tv, radio, cell phone, or a computer at the store then the store requires your identity before purchase and turns it over to tax collectors to collector your yearly due's for using your devices!?Comment

What a costly, horribly inefficient way to collect the tv tax. How much does it cost them to send someone to your house, compared to what they were going to collect from you. I'm so glad that I don't live somewhere like that.Comment

I happened across some other UK shows that surprised me too.. One was some show about debtors and the collectors that come take shit from their house to settle their debt.. They just walk in and start taking tv's, computers, furniture, safes.. Anything they can take.Comment

they want about $200 a year for a tv! If you have a black & white TV it's only $50. They want it if you also have a smartphone, laptop/PC & tablet!
Its a joke an most of the money, if not all, goes to the BBC ( British broadcasting company) and they charge a lot because they don't play any adverts at all an don't use any sponsors etc.... It's mostly repeats and/or total shit on most channels.Comment
