There's a guy on youtube that tests every rat trap, literally hundreds of different ones."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

I ordered one of these. We've been dealing with rats in the shop and in the house. We finally found a good cat and his presence has been enough to keep the rats from coming inside the house but they're still around. I catch 1-2 every week in the snap traps we have set around the house and in the shop.
I'd love to see this plank design catch several in one night.

Watched a couple of the other videos too. We have cats in the house, which keep the mice out, but there are mice in the garage. We've been pretty successful with the normal sticky traps but I really don't enjoy having to kill the mice myself and have probably had to crush about 15 or so mice in the last year..
I'm giving that bucket / roller trap a try. I already have the bucket, PVC and plenty of scrap wood for ramps.

In addition to not having to deal with live mice, the attraction to the bucket is that there is no resetting and multiple can be caught by the same trap overnight. Far more efficient, and no cost vs. buying more sticky traps each time they're used up.

We set a bunch of sticky pads in the kitchen one night. My 10 YO came out for a drink of water... barefoot of course... you can imagine the mess.
We were overrun with rats in the shop. I tried the can on a string hung in a 5 gallon bucket and never caught a single rat. I’m going to place this “plank” trap outside since they run around the perimeter of the house. Hopefully I can fill it with rats.
