I remember reading in Autoweek I think, Ford and Kia are linked up in Korea to aid in the import/export of their cars into one anothers countries or something along those lines. That's why the Kia emblem is the same sized oval as Ford's because it would interchange with Ford's products they had in Korea.

I guess I misunderstood you guys then. I thought you both were saying that he didn't work for Kia, rather Audi.

Well I really, really like that Optima but Motor Trend tested the 0-60 on the turbo and it was sluggish for the horsepower, apparently Kia was supposed to fix that, I can only hope.

Just hard when you really like the new 5.0 too.

Am I the only one that thinks the focus and lancer look a little similar from the side?

It's hard to believe that manufacturers are looking at Korean cars as inspiration now.

The chief designer for Kia used to work for VW.

                          I don't remember the year/make, but I think it was a late 70's/early 80's Toyota that has a back end that resembles a 1970 Mach1.

Chevy and GMC have been doing it for years...... Never understood the need to make to identical trucks.

They're from the same manufacturer though. I don't get it either.
