            Yeah...I was amazed when I moved from Arlington to Anna. Still light pollution but not nearly as much. I had forgotten what the stars looked like from when I was a kid.

              I never did that math, but I have a few stars on my sea service ribbon. I'm glad those days are behind me. I know the longest I ever spent submerged without sunlight was 78 days.

                I never was ship's company, so everything on my sea counter was actual underway time.

                    It's funny. I feel like I was educated well and paid well for my service. I like that everyone thinks it was something special but I had it a lot easier than some guys like FF. Those guys were in the shit. I was on a submarine. If the last sub I was on ever gets involved, lots of people are going to die. Thinking about the millions that could die led me to get out and work in a non defense based business. Sleeping next to that much firepower changes your outlook on the world and life. I hate that there are assholes out there in power ruining it for everyone.
