    One of my biggest regrets is not getting to witness the hillclimb. I lived only a few minutes away from there for 2 years. The weekend I got out of the army was the hillclimb.

    The catch is, you have to get up the road, and get your spot up before the race, and then youre trapped up there until then end of race day. The spectators are there for a long fucking time.

      I regret not going too, though I was only in the Springs for a year.

        Cool video, but not as cool as his first couple. I wonder what times he could pull actually racing it, versus putting on a show. I'm sure not as fast as Gas Monkey Garage.

              What has always been sort of funny to me about the hill climb is that the fastest time ever had an average speed of around 80mph.

                That little tear-drop shape of dirt right past Glen Cove (the brake check/helicopter scene) is where we always used to camp. Absolutely a must do.
