Updated my 09 Tahoe.

Picked this up a little over 2 years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it but I didn't like the soccer mom look it had. The truck had the original alignment which needed adjustment, factory shocks which were shot, and it's second set of tires which needed replacement.

It amazes me what a set of tires can do for the look of a vehicle.

Put on a set of BFG All-Terrain KO2's 275/60/20 along with a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to level it out. No more soccer mom look!

I think my next upgrade is going to be Corsa Sport catback exhaust.

I think these are the best looking body style Tahoe. They look pretty good with 33's which I have on mine and I've seen a few with 6" of lift and 35's that looked solid as well. Biggest thing that I don't like is all these lifts you see where guys are running 22" or 24" tires. It looks stupid in my opinion, give me more rubber and less rim.

I would actually go with a beefier roof rack for a 4x4, or add a basket.. I do like the no-rack when you are going for the cop look like Matt had, but 4x4 / lifted look better with racks, IMO.

I would also skip the exhaust.. It's an SUV, not a race car or anything fast.. In fact, I hate exhaust on pretty much any auto vehicle, especially non-performance stuff.. But that's just personal taste. I would put that money towards a small lift. I'd probably pull the running boards and front air dam too.

Looks a lot better with just the tires though!

I never understood why the Silverado trucks can run a true dual exhaust setup but the Tahoe's come off the headers into a Y-pipe and run a single tube all the way back to the mufflers then tips.

I pulled it, put a little dab of white caulk (mine is white) over the rivnuts, and no leaks. It really isn't noticeable unless you're looking for them.

It's amazing how a little change like that can make a big impact on the truck.. I really do dig it.

And yes, that is the best looking generation of the Tahoe.

Ditched the front valence and running boards. I'll probably have to pick up some nerf bars or steps of some sort. The wife already had trouble climbing in before the new parts.
