Haha, the Golden Sahara actually still exists, but it's trashed.

It was built in the 1950s by Barris and all that stuff was done to increase the points it got during the show-car era.

Barris and Ed Roth built competing flying cars... google XPAC400 and Rotar for some interesting stuff there.
