  • Cayenne Martini?

    Hey fellas,

So I'm thinking of tinkering with the look of my Cayenne a bit. I've seen a few 911's done with a Martini Racing livery with a side profile similar to this. I made up this super rough sketch to see what you guys might thing. The colors are not spot on, just an approximation. I didn't have the RGB numbers to get them exact.

What do you think, leave it alone or just do it?

    maybe an alternative

It is some food for thought. The 911 at the top is pretty close to what I'm looking to do, but with a lot more red. The 2nd pic is very interesting on the side profile. I'm not really a fan of the Macan on the bottom. It needs that red stripe in the center.

I'm not currently considering a stripe down the middle because everyone does that. I really do like the variety of layouts that the Martini livery has gone through over the years.

Oh, and the thing that got me thinking on this... Someone else in Denton bought a perfect copy of mine. Same color, trim level, wheels, model year.. same everything... I can't have that...

        Just do it.
Your sketch is way better than the center stripe.

Are you thinking paint, decal or half wrap?

Probably a decal but I haven't investigated it too much yet.

I was able to find the RGB color palete here: http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/3628169/martini

I'm going to clean this up a bit and draw up a few other designs to consider. I did see another example that I kind dig for a center stripe on the hood and roof.... I wouldn't do the sides for something like this.... I would also eliminate the "Martini" script along the front and sides. I just want the stripes.

I would think that a new set of wheels would go alot farther towards gaining a sportier look, if you've still got the stockers.

Personally I think the drawing concept looks like shit, but I've never been accused of having impeccable taste.

Well this is a stock photo, no my actual Cayenne. Those are the 18" standard wheels. I've got the 19" turbo wheels. However they are similar in appearance. That said, wheels are something I will consider.

I see Porches with decals daily and I always think they look very lame if they are stock with the martini stripes unless it's a GT or RS. At least some nice racing wheels like BBS or something along with the stripes would be sweet. Also lowering it a tad makes a big difference. Just my opinion

I don't really like decals or stripes most of the time. Agree on changing the wheels.

Damn man, I've got a 34" display and that first pic was still too big..

I like the wheels on the 1st and 3rd pics. Not so much on the middle one. The first one is an OEM 21" RS Spyder design. I likey..
