  • Finished interior on my coupe (DIY gauge cluster and radio/shifter deletes)

Finally got the interior/wiring completed. Working on having the complete collection of Auto Meter Phantom gauges I am at 9 right now, would still like to do a fuel pressure and eventually boost gauge (so far I have oil pressure, oil temp, trans temp, coolant temp, volt, fuel, clock, speedo, tach). Trying to figure out how to get the glove box to mount, I know it won't be functional since the cage gets in the way, but I've trimed it such that it can fit, un unfortunately the mounts for it have been hacked off under the dash. Car should be running soon, trying to figure out how I am going to get it towed to my FIL's shop to weld up some stuff before I finalize the fuel lines. Then it should be go time.

For pretty much no money (except what I have in the actual gauges obviously) I think it looks pretty damn good, what do you think?

its not bad, i wouldnt mind getting some foam for the crossbars, getting in and out is a pita and i've already managed to chip the paint on the drivers side bar with my jeans and stuff. i do worry about the legality of having a 10point in a street car though, i am sure it is way safer at the track, but getting out in the event of an accident on the street could be tricky.

Meh, thats only if you ever have a wreck. That will NEVER happen.

I hope not! Lately I have had an uncanny ability to sense accidents near me and actually watch them occur. It has happened 3-4 times this month, I'll just happen to be looking in my rear view or whatever and screeetch...boooom! It is crazy. Thankfully I haven't been involved in any of them, but it is getting kind of eerie!

Normally I laugh at all the gauges that people put in their cars, but yours looks incredibly tasteful.

                    Way to go, man.

That looks kickass. I've been wanting to do that for a long time now, maybe one of these days I will actually get off my ass and do it.

Looks great. I swear the next time I do another project I'm going with a RacePak IQ3 though. The price for some of the autometer stuff is pretty high and I'm not 100% happy with the way mine look especially at night.

Looks good! I'm trying to remember....is this the coupe with the 6.0 LSX in it?

What's the story on that bar?...looks like you used to have a crossbar over the dash that was cut out or something....or are my old eyes playing tricks again?
