Sounds like it needed a driver mod. They have the car rated at 526/429 so with traditional drivetrain loss percentages it seems like it was under rated. It has .2 more cubes. Yes it has a higher RPM due to the crank but it makes 100 more hp with a much better curve than a stock 5.0. Tune only they are knocking on 500. LTs and tune they are around 520. I wouldn't say that's unimpressive.
