If he had death wobble then most likely he had a 97 and newer Jeep. Track bar bushings, bad angles, and the four link bushings are the biggest culprits. I have never seen a YJ have death wobble unless it had a steering box that was wiped out. I have done some crazy stuff with YJ's (87-95) and never had a issues. YJ's still had leaf springs, cheap and easy to lift.
    Whos your Daddy?

I may have the death wobble now. Not sure exactly.

I was told the front ball joints need to be replaced. Also there is an issue with the shifting. It is tough to get into 1st gear when starting but when driving shifts okay. Reverse is an issue and grinds at times as well. Not sure exactly what the issue is.

Looking to find someone who is able to do these repairs at a reasonable price. I havent been to a mechanic in a while so not sure if there are some good shops locally. I am in Arlington/Mansfield area.

It is around a 2003 from what I remember. He ended up replacing just about everything he could in order to get rid of it. Now he has his dad's 1977 model in his garage and I have to go over this weekend and help him stab a new GM HEI distributor into the 304 in that thing.
