My wife and I want some land SW of DFW, maybe between Hico and Lampasas, with a similar feel. Pretty open, pockets of trees, at least one pond. Her parents bought 30+ acres between Buffalo and Centerville and built a big house, but I can't deal with all the trees and brush out that way.

I'm very jealous. Well done.

I've got 50 acres in marquez. We may be neighbors!

That's funny, that's the second time I've heard that. Dove was flying pretty good today. A couple hundred yards from our plot is a large several acre duck pond.

We looked at property around Heath but ended up staying in town. I don't want to say how much $$/acre land is demanding in town for a respectable lot. It's not $6k/acre!

Heath is super expensive. Typically filling county is $8k-12k per acre.

We have 2 acres near Little Elm and love it. We really want 10 near Aubrey but just can't afford it. I'm a realtor and seeing homes in Blue Ridge even way out there pricing is going up and homes are going fast. Even if you didn't build I'm thinking at this rate its a great investment
