Proud new land owner

We've been looking for a while and finally found some land we both like and could afford. We would have liked more but it just wasn't in the budget right now. We bought 12.5 acres in Blue Rudge (northeast of Mckinney). There's an adjoining 10 acre lot that we are hoping won't sell and we can pick up at a later date. For the time being I'm gonna build me a pistol range and start doing my LTC classes. Eventually we will build but we are not in any rush.

$6900/Acre. It's a very skinny tract which is why I'm hoping it won't sell. It would give us a nice width with the two.

My wife and I want some land SW of DFW, maybe between Hico and Lampasas, with a similar feel. Pretty open, pockets of trees, at least one pond. Her parents bought 30+ acres between Buffalo and Centerville and built a big house, but I can't deal with all the trees and brush out that way.

I'm very jealous. Well done.

I'm in New Hope and we cruised out there and saw few chunks of land few months back. Just didn't want to live that far out.

When we first started looking we thought the same thing. But the more we drove it, it's really not that bad. We live in Princeton now, and I've clocked it from driveway to driveway in 15 min.
