All the components arrived today. I still cant believe what I cored everything for and save for the sub that came from the Audi its all new. Everyting was still cheaper than JUST the tweeters for the Benz. LMAO!

Im seeing c6's for high teens.
there's a lot of low mile vette's out there. I just want black on black with an m6 and not beat to shit. Other than that I don't really care about options. I just want to put on some gold or black wheels, and a nasty ass cam.

Yup. I looked at 20+ before I got my C5. I wanted a C6 but the C5 I found was in just amazing condition. All of them I saw were ragged out and rattled and squeeked and needed a couple grand in repairs This one was near perfect. All I had to do was get an alignment, replace the little screw covers on the doors, replace the tattered sun visors, clean the grass of the radiator, new air filter and replace the fuel door button and actuator and thats it. If I were to sell it there isnt anything someone could pick apart on it. Even the half dozen rock chips are filled in now.

Gonna paint the calipers red and slap the system in and shes done.

Squeel! My buddy that sold me that yellow CDT sub last year for such a great deal had it and a red one. Only two in existence. I wanted the red one at the time but it required a larger box but it hits harder and plays deeper. When i bought the sub he said one or the other but not both. Well he saw the new box and said if I promise not to sell it that I can have it for the Vette. Yay! They yellow one would sound killer in it but the red one will be much better. Cant freakin wait!

I told myself the same thing except at 23 and picked up a C6 then at 27 upgraded to a 08 Z06 and now at 31 I'm just old and responsible with a broke down mach 1 and spending all my toy money on house remodels. lol In other words go for it while you can.

You do really clean installs. Would love to hear one of your setups in person. Just did a double DIN install with Infinity Reference series and a 10" on my 04 ram. God that job sucked, but it sounds so much better than stock.

Any time you are in the area. Replacing the trucks subs tomorrow and still waiting on the larger amp for the Mark but they are up and running. It will be a couple months till the AMG system is ready. Its super complex and will take a long time to build once the car gets back from Speedriven.

Thanks for the compliment but I cant take all the credit. Some I install, all of them I design and tune but Crow Concepts did the fabulous detail work on this one.

yep, i bought the transaxle out of that very car.

There's nothing expensive about those cars to speak of other than the transaxle. I owned mine when they were still the current model, and things were not that expensive then. One of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. The only thing that broke (that I didn't break myself) was a water pump at 60k and a wheel speed sensor, total costs of those parts was about $120.

I did a stereo in my vette and spidered the glass roof and rattled it to death. Eventually I took the system out and went back to a factory radio.

Mine had a Lingenfelter drivetrain as well.

Sweet! But yeah, they are cheaper to maintain than a Mustang and even an Aveo. Very cheap cars to work on. My fuel door button and actuator were broken and it was under $50
