      How about this. Shorter WB and even longer bed;

      1971 Ford Torino - Time to go bigger and better.

      2011 F150 Limited - Stock with a 6.2

        I was going to vote 118" / 7', but I really like what Danny posted.

          Yeah I don't think there's a wrong answer between those two.

            I'm not opposed to the 130" WB with the 8ft bed but that would require stretching the frame, new driveshaft, fuel lines, brake lines and E-brake cables.

            I need to redo this with a better profile shots but it looks like I am leaning towards the 118" with a 7ft bed. That seems to balance out the length of the front end. Plus, the bed is still usable.

            Now I just need to find a deal on an extended cab S10.

              another vote for 108 and 6 or 6.5

              Looks the most proportionate and shorter wheel base will be better for those pesky u-turns.

                  I like the 108" and 6.5' bed myself, keeps it equal looking and makes it easier to drive

                    the s10 blazer frame is 107.5 and will let you keep the bed intact. the s10 pu frame has the kick up .

                      before you get too carried away set the cab and front on a frame. aframe front ends dont really work too well on early iron. fender clearance and rad mounting can be a nightmare .

                        From what I have read, the Blazer sits higher and like you said, the longest wheel base in 107.5.

                        Yeah, I always do tons of research before I try anything like this. Then again, this isn't my first frame swap.

                                You need an extended cab s10 to have the correct wheel base. Did a 1954 3100 long bed truck and it work perfect. The s10 blazer frame will not work at all the frame narrows by the front doors.
