  • Finally a reliable turbo car in the garage

My wife traded in her 2013 Edge and picked up a 2016 Ecoboost with an auto and the 200a package in Deep Impact Blue.

Bought it from Grapevine. Sales guy was great. Finance lady and the finance process was anyone could imagine...pretty bad. But after 6hours in finance and my wife walking out, they finally got the deal done and for a better interest rate and car price than I told her to walk away from. I'm super proud of her for handling this by herself even if I coached her through messaging but she had a 4yr old to watch after too at the same time. She did good. I was more proud that she stood up and walked away from the table making them come get her out of the parking lot as she was driving away.

She loves the car. Couldn't be happier. And the kid fits fine. It will be no time and she will let me start to play with it too.

Already starting to play with the track app stuff on her own.

I've had her watching my LCD handheld for my Holley EFI enough times, she said "I know what most of these are already"
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Can you take a picture of it at night, trying to decide if this is the color I want

      She's a beaut! Great color.

Sucks that the finance side was such a bear. Did you work with Josh? I would expect him to be able to smooth that out a bit.

Josh wasn't there. I'll let him respond with the 'why'. I had the GM's phone number that he gave me but I just never called. All in all it was a great lesson and learning experience for my wife to go through. It surely boosted her ego a ton when she walked out and they came back with an even better deal.

I think she stole the car and she was able to blame all the negotiations on me since I was coaching her through messaging. I'm sure that the finance lady cringed everytime her DiAnn's phone went 'bing'

The color was her choice. I would have rather had a Black or the Magnetic colors but it is her car.

Thanks. She already yelled at me. Dallas Mustangs had a EB car and their trailer at the Father's Day car show at our church yesterday in Keller. I told her to go talk to them to hear what exhaust they had on the car. She keeps talking about how much fun she is having driving it in the turns that I may set her up for a course at TMS to see if the bug sets in with her. Maybe get her to race it a few times at the TMS Friday Night Drags to just for fun. Then she might start letting me play with it.

It's funny that our daughter, not even 4 yet, saw a yellow Corvette yesterday and told her mom "ah, he's going the other way. Maybe we can find another corvette to race"

Josh is no longer at Grapevine Ford, not sure where he is now.

Beautiful EB Mustang! We seriously considered the '16 Mustang GT before buying the Camaro SS and met with Josh to test drive it. Josh was nice, but I swear Grapevine Ford has that shady a** dealership feel to it. Josh wouldn't let us go without introducing us to the sales manager or whatever. He said he had to or he would get in trouble. It only took a minute or two of waiting and the sales manager didn't pressure us, but it was still annoying.

I just don't get why certain dealership feel the need to try to pressure and dick people as much as possible. I bought the '16 Camaro SS from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine and the sales guy and the whole experience was very pleasant and low pressure. Even the finance guy only talked about tire warranties, extended warranties, etc. for a few minutes before I politely told him I wasn't interested in any of it and we finished the deal in F&I in less than 15 minutes.
