Unless one just saved your life, no one likes a cop, being disliked is part of the job and you should be able to deal with it. No one likes an IRS agent, or a dentist, but you don't see them fucking with people all willy nilly.

There is understanding if you watch the full unedited video. What is "bullshit" is the way the guy acted prior to the dog getting involved. He had ample opportunity to avoid the outcome. He felt that not following orders along with flipping off the cop while saying fuck you was the best course of action. He got jacked as a result. I'm not a bleeding heart, sorry.

It wouldn't. I don't drive (ride bicycle) drunk or do drugs. I've never been arrested or hassled by the cops. If something did happen, I would comply with cops orders. If I felt my rights were trampled on, I would call IA and/or take them to court. I wouldn't fail to comply resist and get shot, tased, or chewed on by a dog because I was bereft of common sense.

Looks a bit old school to me. Like a couple of cops beating the shit out of a guy all because they had to chase his ass down to arrest him instead of just stopping when they said. Nope, you made me run...I beat your ass for it. You made him tell you 40 times to "get on your knees" so he let Cujo chew on you. I didn't mind him letting the dog after him but I think he could have pulled him off sooner than he did. Wouldn't surprise me if the reason he pulled him off was that he saw how much the guy was getting torn up and he wasn't any fucking closer to cuffing him.

Try watching the whole video from the beginning. Not the heavily edited version the "uploader" posted that condenses the action to fit the innocent dude gets mauled by dog FTP narrative. A little more to the situation than a riding a bicycle without a light.

I lost count how many times the cop asked this guy to stop now or I'll send the dog. Of course, the guy did not comply to repeated orders to do so. Of course, he was DUI. Of course, he was belligerent. Also, putting your hands behind your back repeatedly and then flipping off the cop while saying "Fuck you" is probably not the most prudent thing to do during a police confrontation (2:12 mark). "Get on your knees" , "fuck you". Sounds smart, but what do I know. Guy obviously is another innocent victim of the police state Nothing he could have done at all in first 3 minutes after initial contact to prevent this outcome. Cry me a river.
