I'd like to have a baja bug, but don't know squat about them other than they look cool.
Can these cars run highway speeds over 70mph? A/C and heat? radios?

Typically no A/C, but they have heat if you want to leave it hooked up. They run highway speeds no problem. They do have a spot on the dash for a single din radio.

Bug looks so sweet when done right. Went to high school with a guy that had a pearl white with porshe wheels.

Just before moving here from CA I had a 67. Lowered, Porsche wheels, Recaro seats, knockoffs instead of bumpers.. Wish I had pictures.

Like this without the bumpers and sunroof, but maroon.

My father had a few VW Bugs in the 60's. Fun to drive for sure and it basically had two speeds....idle and flat footed!

The last Bug he had caused him to trade it in on a new big knobby tire Bronco with the big V8. One day while coming home from work in a driving rain storm (we lived across the bay from Galveston), he floated numerous times going around corners. Water never got in the inside, but a few times, he had to wait until he would "drift" to a high spot to get traction!

My shop is across the street from the bug stop in Arlington. So many badass bugs, buggies, ghias, and vans pass by all day.

John. That was a beautiful car. And surprised a lot of people at the street races.

I use to buy all my stereo gear from a spot called The Sound Shop in Colorado Springs. There was a dude with a red one that swapped in an air cooled Porsche setup, and a shit ton of McIntosh audio. That car was sick and would shit'n'get-it.

I put a 1955cc stroker with dual Weber 44's in mine. No LSjuan swap, but it scoots along alright.
