My father had a few VW Bugs in the 60's. Fun to drive for sure and it basically had two speeds....idle and flat footed!
The last Bug he had caused him to trade it in on a new big knobby tire Bronco with the big V8. One day while coming home from work in a driving rain storm (we lived across the bay from Galveston), he floated numerous times going around corners.
