Having a chef sure changes the fricking morale around here. Fried chicken, homemade buffalo sauce that was better than BWW, chips (British for fries of coure) and a Bordeaux.
Figures the food gets good and now I have to leave.
No pics today but I got my Warning Order for my next task.
Friday my replacement gets here. Funny that he is the same guy that the company had fire me almost 2 years ago, yes same company too. Shouldn't be too awkward, we've spoke many times since then.
Looks like I am heading to an ODA camp for a week or two then on to Senegal and a few other places. Hopefully, I can get to my room in Yaounde, Cameroon in time to relax a few days before my R&R around the 25th of July.
I love moments like this. Last week I turned over my position in Agadez to an old boss of mine and I set out on a journey. Right now I am on a small camp in the middle of the Sahara desert south of the Libyan border.
I can't show pics of the base itself but here is some of the terrain. Hopefully the weather will clear up some and the dust will go away so I can get some better pics.

Humans' use of antimicrobial spices developed in parallel with food-spoilage microorganisms, Cornell University biologists have demonstrated in a international survey of spice use in cooking. (March 4, 1998)
I forgot to put in the pictures above. This is the largest uranium mine in the world....just a few miles from us.
the flat top mountain on the horizon..
Here are some pics of Petroglyphs in rock formations out in the Sahara. We went on a little excursion a few miles from the base in that little Polaris Razor. It was fun and games until my buddy lost his new Samsung phone and we followed our tracks back and forth twice from a-b...phone is gone.
