You weren't in the mission briefing and nobody told you that your coworker was in the buy?

Alberquerqe PD has been in the news a lot for the number of shootings ther officers are involved in vs other cities. I believe there was supposed to be a state or federal investigation about it at one point because the numbers were so high. Article says dude survived and was awarded a large lawsuit so good on that. Apparently mr. trigger happy missed the mission brief and they let him participate anyways. Pretty fucked up and I bet that guy has medical issues for life. 8 .45acp bullets will fuck you up.

Who's the genius that decided to let Brachle participate after he missed the brief? Yeah, fuck that guy in particular.

I read the article as Brachle wasn't really a main person in the operation and that he decided on his own to insert himself into the situation after he heard radio chatter

The moment an Albuquerque lieutenant realized he mistook an undercover cop for a suspect in a drug bust and shot him nine times, he shrieked, “I didn’t know it was you … I thought…

Jacob Grant, 38, who wasn’t wearing body armor at the time of the January 2015 nearly fatal mix-up—he lost 80% of the blood in his body and suffered injuries to all of his major organs.
Amazing he's even alive, he's gunna have issues for life though.

And yet no mention of him being fired or charged with a crime.

He resigned instead of getting fired

I am glad the taxpayers got to pay for it, obviously they are the ones to blame.

Its been in the news here almost daily since I got here in August. Crime and corruption in this town is so unbelievable you'd have to live here and see it happening to believe it's real. This town is a shithole like no other.

My statement still stands. Whoever was in charge, that allowed an unbriefed officer to participate is culpable.

The idiot pulling the trigger sounded a lot like Farva. Coincidence? Thank God the other officer managed to live through it.

Albuquerque has had a really bad rep over the last few years for having a truly crap police force. I guess it finally bit them in the ass for being so trigger happy.
